Forza Horizon 6 teams up with nine Japanese artists to bring manga, cyberpunk, and ancient myth themes to racing on Xbox Series and PC, under an Art of Driving collaboration.

The artists, including Satoshi Fujita (DRAGON76) and Kazuhisa Uragami, were commissioned to create murals, billboards, and other art across the map, spanning locales from snowy Japanese Alps to Tokyo City.

Confirmed participating artists include Satoshi Fujita (Dragon76), Kazuhisa Uragami, and Inko Ai Takida, with some works already revealed.

Additional artworks will be revealed as the collaboration progresses ahead of the game’s release.

The collaboration is presented as the Art of Driving series, featuring three documentary-style video episodes that showcase the artists’ original works.

Design Director Torben Ellert says the aim is to evoke the mood of traveling through Japan, not to replicate real-world locations.

Uragami’s concept centers on a noble outcast theme, blending myths, the sea, and mechanical imagery to reflect Kyushu’s industrial character.

The first episode follows car photographer Larry Chen and muralist DRAGON76 on a journey through Tohoku, navigating snow-covered passes in a Toyota Land Cruiser.

Fujita’s Nabuta festival-inspired mural features Susanoo no Mikoto, a dragon, and cyberpunk motifs.

DRAGON76 describes the mural as blending contemporary fashion, Nebuta Festival influences, and near-futuristic reimaginings of Susanoo-no-Mikoto and a dragon.

Playground Games launched The Art of Driving series ahead of Forza Horizon 6’s release, offering documentary-style looks at murals by real artists.

Inko Ai Takida’s contribution focuses on manga-style billboards in Shibuya, featuring nine characters in Edo-era kimono.
