Nasscom has introduced 'The Developer's Playbook for Responsible AI in India' aimed at helping developers navigate AI-related risks.

This playbook has received validation from experts across various sectors, including industry, government, and academia.

Shri Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, highlighted that the playbook assists innovators in aligning with best practices and adopting responsible methodologies in AI.

The launch of the playbook coincides with a notable surge in Generative AI funding in India, which has seen a sixfold increase in investments during the second quarter of fiscal year 2025.

According to NASSCOM's 'Generative AI Tracker', there were 20 funding rounds in Q2 FY25, indicating a resurgence after a downturn in the previous quarter.

This initiative specifically addresses challenges associated with the commercial use and deployment of AI technologies in India.

The playbook covers essential topics such as AI model conception, data handling, system design and testing, and the monitoring of deployed AI systems.
