DMRC Seeks Startups for Innovative AI Project Management System with Rs 20 Lakh Prize
February 4, 2026
DMRC is launching an Agentic AI-based Project Management System to overhaul infrastructure project management, moving from basic problem-flagging software to systems that actively reason, plan, and execute workflows.
The AI platform will predict delays, optimize schedules using historical data, and adapt in real time to factors such as labor shortages, equipment downtime, and weather conditions.
The initiative invites innovative startups to develop this Agentic AI-based Project Management System, capable of actively reasoning and planning workflows to address real-world issues like labor shortages and equipment failures.
Submissions are open until March 2, with substantial incentives for proposals that meet the criteria.
The winner will receive Rs 20 lakh on successful development and acceptance, along with joint IP rights and a revenue-sharing model for commercialisation beyond DMRC projects.
Up to three startups may be shortlisted to develop and host the platform on DMRC servers for six months, with one final solution potentially being adopted after evaluation.
Compliance and safety checks will be automated by reviewing project documents and site data to reduce regulatory violations and costly rework.
The platform will provide real-time visibility to project managers and senior officials to support informed decision-making.
Indicative scope includes AI agents for scheduling, reporting, communication, planning software integration, web and mobile apps, inspection/RFI workflows, multi-level approvals, document management, cybersecurity, and computer vision for progress analysis.
The system will integrate with Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools to monitor labour, equipment, and material utilization for optimal resource management.
Drones and smart cameras will capture real-time site visuals, with AI analyzing progress against plans to generate daily progress reports, identify bottlenecks, and suggest corrective actions.
The architecture will integrate multiple AI agents with project management and BIM tools to produce unified dashboards, daily progress reports, predictive insights, and compliance updates through digital workflows.
