BIG, a professional Counter-Strike 2 team, has announced a significant roster overhaul after a disappointing 2025 season that saw them drop out of the top tier and struggle at recent LAN events, with their best finish being third at the Urban Riga Open.

The team is transitioning to Lukas 'FreeZe' Hegmann as the new in-game leader (IGL) to bring a fresh perspective and new structure to their gameplay, aiming to improve their performance.

FreeZe was promoted from BIG Academy to assume the IGL role, replacing Johannes 'tabseN' Wodarz, who had served as captain for six years.

Karim 'Krimbo' Moussa has stepped down from the active roster by mutual agreement, with the organization expressing confidence in his future success and appreciating his contributions.

The current roster now includes Johannes 'tabseN', Jon 'JDC' de Castro, David 'prosus' Hesse, Gleb 'gr1ks' Gazin, Lukas 'FreeZe' Hegmann, along with coach Sebastian 'xenn' Hoch, while Krimbo and Marcel 'hyped' Köhn are benched.
