Meesho & BSE Unite for 'Project Shikhar': Empowering MSMEs for IPO Success on SME Platform
June 2, 2026
Meesho is partnering with the Bombay Stock Exchange to launch Project Shikhar, a program aimed at preparing MSMEs and digital sellers for IPO readiness on the BSE SME platform.
The MoU formalizes a collaboration designed to help high-performing independent e-commerce sellers convert into listed companies, unlocking access to growth capital.
Over the next year, the initiative will screen and onboard eligible sellers, guiding them through entity conversion, compliance tracking, and regulatory positioning necessary for listing on the BSE SME platform.
Meesho’s Head of Corporate Affairs notes that many sellers have scaled rapidly but face friction in becoming investor-ready, and the partnership aims to remove these barriers while creating a compliant pipeline for India's formal economy.
Project Shikhar will provide a stage-by-stage roadmap to public listing, targeting barriers faced by informal or unorganized retail sectors in access to expansion capital.
The BSE CEO emphasizes that the SME platform has a track record of helping MSMEs list, raise capital, and improve governance, and this partnership extends that pathway to digital-first entrepreneurs.
