Libération will host a 24-hour immersive newsroom experience at the Philharmonie de Paris, starting in the morning and featuring debates, interviews, performances and live journalism to give visitors a behind-the-scenes look at how the news is produced.

The event takes place at the Citée de la musique in Paris on Saturday, blending discussions on truth, misinformation and artificial intelligence with guest appearances and behind-the-scenes coverage.

Doors open at 9:00, followed by a public editorial conference at 9:30, with a midday session featuring Serge July and an 18:30 live front page after a Roschdy Zem masterclass.

Early attendees include subscribers like François who join digitally to deepen their understanding of newsroom workflows.

The day features debates, masterclasses and talks with prominent figures such as Judith Godrèche, Hélène Devynck, Hugo Micheron, Asma Mhalla, Victor Castanet, Julia Cagé, Fabrice Arfi, Paloma Moritz and Salomé Saqué, plus a Roschdy Zem masterclass.

Interactive sessions will showcase CheckNews fact-checking demonstrations, anonymous testimonies from Libération’s Lifestyle bureau, and a live front-page creation session where the public helps select the next day’s subject, photo and headline.

A morning immersion includes a public editorial meeting led by Libération editor-in-chief Dov Alfon, with all-day access to journalists and production crews.

The program aims to be an immersive, multidisciplinary experience that blends journalism, culture and music to illuminate Libération’s history, mission and future media challenges.

The evening Libé Night will present a live journalism show with six original stories set to music by Dominique A, followed by an electro performance by Sofiane Saidi and a late DJ set by Corrine.

Panels will tackle resilience against exile, trust in journalism amid AI and foreign interference, featuring speakers like Ilia Iachine, Mounir Satouri, Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, Alexandra Schwartzbrod, Gaspard G, Julien Pain, Asma Mhalla and Nathalie Loiseau.
