Ghost of Yotei 1.600 Patch Revamps Legends Mode with Major Updates and New Features
April 8, 2026
Ghost of Yotei receives a major 1.600 patch focused on Legends, with a Raid for Legends mode launching on April 10, 2026.
The patch introduces broader gameplay tweaks, including an extra dodge roll in Legends, preserved loadouts across levels, and extensive balance changes to Samurai abilities, staggering, and weapon tuning across multiple classes and enemies (notably Oni Grenadier, Archers, and True Aim Yumi).
Specific adjustments include maintaining loadout states across levels, updated Oni Grenadier behavior, and reduced Spirit/Ultimate gains from various sources to rebalance encounters.
Several combat fixes address interaction issues, such as preventing archery ultimates from being blocked by Blind Bomb, improving visibility in snake missions, and correcting cooldown and damage-related bugs.
The patch lowers energy from Spirits, improves corruption zone visibility, and fixes a bug that could render the Oni boss invincible in certain situations.
New enemy dynamics see Fallen Lords replacing some summoned foes in Snake Boss fights, with Legends mode bonuses and challenges adjusted accordingly.
Ranged changes include reduced ammo returns from Resupply and Archer’s Supplies, lowered headshot damage for some bows, removal of Spirit/Ultimate charge from Consuming Flame, increased ammo capacity and damage for Hankyu, and an Archer Ultimate control fix.
New content and features include Watanabe Mode in the lobby, unlockable sword VFX trails, four new Charms, and the returning Legendary weapon Weightless Spirit, alongside Legends mode equipment and gear updates.
Weapon and perk updates feature cooldown reduction on Legendary Spirit Kunai kills from status effects and buffs to several Legendary melee weapons, including Mountain Breaker, Lightning’s Bite, Thunderous Yari, Vanishing Kusarigama, and Thunderous Katana.
Samurai tuning emphasizes shorter cooldowns, longer duration, higher stagger damage, added Spirit/Ultimate on staggering enemies, and improved Samurai healing.
Base game updates accompany Legends changes, with general stability and performance enhancements, lobby navigation improvements, and tweaks to mission select and Challenge Cards.
Overall balance and system updates target Samurai and Archer classes, enemy behavior, and Spirit/Ultimate gain, with additional bug fixes and multiplayer performance improvements.
