Today, Rory McIlroy made history by becoming the first player in 25 years to complete the career Grand Slam, which means winning all four major golf tournaments—The Masters, The Open, US Open, and PGA Championship—over the course of his career.

This achievement also marks the first time a golfer from the UK, including Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, or England, has accomplished the career Grand Slam.

While McIlroy has now achieved this milestone, other top golfers like Scottie Scheffler and Jordan Spieth are close to completing their own career Grand Slams.

Historically, legendary players such as Walter Hagen and Tom Watson came close with multiple major wins but fell short of securing all four titles in their careers.
