Dubai Extends Deadline for Sustainable Tourism Stamp to 2025, Encourages Eco-Friendly Hotel Practices
November 6, 2025
Hotels must apply via DET’s Classification System under the Sustainability category, with a submission deadline of November 7, 2025.
The DST Stamp recognizes hotels that meet 19 sustainability requirements, focusing on energy and water efficiency, waste reduction and circularity, and staff training and engagement.
Assessments are conducted by independent third-party evaluators and overseen by a senior jury panel to ensure credibility and alignment with international best practices.
In the previous cycle, 153 hotels were awarded across three tiers: 18 Gold, 64 Silver, and 71 Bronze, marking a 118% increase in participation from the inaugural edition.
The DST Stamp is part of Dubai’s strategy to position the city as a global leader in responsible tourism, supporting the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), the UAE Net Zero Strategy, and the UN SDGs.
The DST Stamp is a long-standing initiative launched in 2021 as a cornerstone of Dubai’s responsible tourism strategy.
Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism has opened applications for the third cycle of the Dubai Sustainable Tourism (DST) Stamp, with a deadline extended to November 7, 2025.
