A new collaboration will supply Sanmar’s PVC production in Port Said, Egypt, and Cuddalore, India with UAE-made chemicals, strengthening regional and global supply chains.

The Sanmar Group and TA’ZIZ formalized two product sale term sheets at ADIPEC to supply petrochemical feedstocks.

During ADIPEC 2025, TA’ZIZ and India’s Sanmar Group agreed to long-term term sheets for EDC and VCM, covering up to a decade.

Participants, including Mashal Al-Kindi (CEO of TA’ZIZ) and Vijay Sankar (The Sanmar Group Chairman), reaffirmed a mutual commitment to growth and sustainability.

The ADIPEC signing event featured prominent UAE officials and industry leaders, underscoring the significance of the deals for the UAE’s energy and chemicals sector.

TA’ZIZ will supply Sanmar with over 350,000 tonnes per year of EDC and VCM produced at the TA’ZIZ Chemicals Industrial Zone in Al Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, marking the first UAE production and export of these chemicals to Port Said and Cuddalore.

TA’ZIZ is positioned as a cornerstone of the UAE’s non-oil industrial growth and a trusted partner to international markets, elevating the UAE’s status as a global energy and chemicals supplier.

The initiative supports the UAE’s industrial development goals and Operation 300bn by promoting domestic downstream growth and improving international market access.

TA’ZIZ and The Sanmar Group signed two long-term sale term sheets for ethylene dichloride (EDC) and vinyl chloride monomer (VCM), with contracts extending up to 10 years.

Vijay Sankar, Chairman of The Sanmar Group, described the agreements as establishing a strategic relationship focused on operational excellence, sustainability, and long-term value creation.

The deals inaugurate a strategic collaboration that emphasizes operational excellence, sustainability, and long-term value for both TA’ZIZ and Sanmar, as stated by their leaders.

The signing at ADIPEC was attended by key figures including UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber and Ambassador Navdeep Suri, among others.
