The IAC is positioned as the premier global space gathering, connecting astronauts, ministers, engineers, industry leaders, heads of space agencies, and students to advance space for humanity.

IAC 2026 will feature one of its largest Technical Programmes ever, with a record number of abstract submissions, thousands accepted, back-ups, and numerous technical sessions plus daily interactive presentations.

The Congress will showcase a high-level Plenary Programme, Highlight Lectures, Late Breaking News sessions, and the IAF Global Networking Forum, spotlighting major missions, discoveries, and breakthroughs.

IAC 2026, the 77th edition, will take place in Antalya, Türkiye from early October, marking Türkiye’s first hosting of the event.

Beyond networking, attendees will have opportunities to hear from space agency heads, tour autograph sessions with astronauts, and engage with industry leaders and scientists in a collaborative environment.

The IAC is framed as a milestone event welcoming both first-time attendees and veterans to experience its open, international space community.

The event is organized by the International Astronautical Federation and hosted by the Turkish Space Agency with co-host SAHA Istanbul Aerospace Cluster, emphasizing international cooperation across 82 countries.

The theme for IAC 2026 is “The World Needs More Space,” underscoring the drive to expand global space activity and collaboration for humanity.

High-level gatherings include the IAF International Meeting for Ministers and Members of Parliaments and the IAF Global Space Leaders Summit, focusing on policy, leadership, and strategic discussions for space exploration.
