The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is launching Rangbaag, a project to turn city parks into creative hubs through theatre-based and experiential learning activities, in collaboration with the National School of Drama (NSD).

This collaboration leverages NSD’s expertise in theatrical education to make parks safer and more attractive, encouraging community involvement by reaching out to societies, educational institutions, and local groups.

The pilot program will feature a three-month certificate course with weekly workshops, with plans to expand to more parks across Delhi based on its success, engaging participants of all ages including senior citizens to foster community spirit.

Building on previous enhancements such as green cafes, musical fountains, sculptures, and improved lighting, this initiative seeks to further increase foot traffic and create more inviting outdoor environments.

Conceived under Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena's directive, the program emphasizes reimagining green spaces as lively, engaging venues that promote learning through play, movement, and theatre beyond traditional settings.

The initiative will be supported by management consulting firm Primus Partners to facilitate implementation and aims to foster artistic expression, storytelling, and community engagement in accessible outdoor spaces.
