Leanne Lucas also shared memories on social media, including her meeting with Taylor Swift at a concert in Toronto, alongside images from the royal visit.
In the wake of the tragic Southport attack, Kate, the Princess of Wales, shared an emotional embrace with hero yoga teacher Leanne Lucas.
The attack claimed the lives of three young girls: nine-year-old Alice da Silva Aguiar, six-year-old Bebe King, and seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe, while also leaving Leanne Lucas seriously injured.
In addition to the fatalities, the incident injured eight other children and businessman John Hayes, who bravely attempted to intervene.
The perpetrator, identified as Rudakubana, was just 17 at the time of the attack and received 13 life sentences, with a minimum of 52 years to serve, but could not be sentenced to a whole-life term due to his age.
Kate expressed disbelief that Rudakubana intended to harm vulnerable individuals, particularly children.
During a hearing, Leanne Lucas spoke candidly about her injuries, emphasizing the long-lasting physical and mental scars resulting from the attack.
An inquiry has been launched to investigate missed opportunities that could have prevented Rudakubana from executing the attack, given his concerning interest in extreme violence.
In a show of support, the Prince and Princess of Wales made a surprise visit to Merseyside in October 2024 to meet privately with victims' families and emergency responders.
