Samsung has officially resumed the rollout of its stable One UI 7 update for Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy S24 users across multiple regions, including Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.

Despite the initial pause, Samsung confirmed that the rollout has restarted, although they did not provide specific details about the original glitch.

One UI 7 introduces a range of new features aimed at enhancing user experience, including improved video editing tools, message composition assistance, and AI-driven suggestions for local dining options.

The update's redesigned interface emphasizes AI-driven features, offering new icons, a split notification shade, and functionalities like call recording and audio eraser capabilities.

Samsung plans to extend the One UI 7 update to the Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy Z 5 series foldables in May 2025, along with the Galaxy S22 and S21 families.

Looking ahead, One UI 8 is already in development and is anticipated to be pre-installed on the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7.

With Google's upcoming release of Android 16 in June 2025, Samsung is under pressure to expedite the update process.

Significant camera enhancements are also part of the update, featuring a redesigned camera app, custom AI filters, and the ability to edit RAW images and capture LOG video.

In the U.S., carrier-locked Galaxy S24 Ultra devices on Boost Mobile and some unlocked models on T-Mobile and Verizon have started receiving the update.

Developer access to Android 15, which One UI 7 is based on, began in September 2024, contributing to delays in the rollout for older devices.

According to Samsung's preliminary schedule, the final devices are expected to receive the One UI 7 update by July 2025.
