One of their notable innovations is DAMO GRAPE, an AI framework that accurately identifies gastric cancer through advanced 3D CT scan analysis, underscoring their mission to utilize AI for significant global impact.

In Saudi Arabia, DAMO Academy is partnering with Abdul Latif Jameel Health to develop AI-assisted diagnostic tools for both acute and chronic medical conditions, including various cancers and cardiovascular diseases.

Similarly, in Singapore, Alibaba DAMO Academy collaborates with NHG Health to enhance AI-powered medical research at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, focusing on the early detection of several cancers and other health conditions.

These partnerships are designed to extend the benefits of medical AI to broader populations, leveraging Alibaba's technology alongside Abdul Latif Jameel Health's extensive network.

The overarching goal is to improve access to precision medicine through AI-powered early detection tools, thereby enhancing healthcare interventions.

The collaboration was announced at the AI for Good Global Summit 2025, facilitating expert exchanges and initiatives focused on AI for Health, Climate, and Science.

This partnership also aims to explore cooperation in robotics and embodied intelligence, while enhancing AI and video technologies for global technological development.

DAMO Academy's contributions to AI for Good have been acknowledged in the UN's AI for Good Innovate for Impact Interim Report 2025, highlighting innovations like Baguan AI Weather Forecasting and the DAMO PANDA system for cancer detection.
