Plans call for the show to return to London and Scotland in 2026, expanding in Dublin and London to better assist UK and Irish residents.

Attendees were drawn to Portugal’s outdoor lifestyle, climate, and travel links to the UK, underscoring its appeal for quality of life while maintaining ties to home.

The Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK launched its first Moving to Portugal Show in Edinburgh on 21 November 2025, marking its debut in Scotland.

Chamber General Manager Christina Hippisley noted the turnout showed broad interest across Scotland and highlighted Portugal’s safe, welcoming, and wellbeing-focused environment.

The event aimed to inform and uplift, highlighting Portugal’s diverse options—from cities to coastal and rural living—along with its focus on inclusivity and modern, wellbeing-oriented living.

The event offered a full seminar programme covering residency rules, tax and financial planning, property options, legal requirements, healthcare, international schools, and expat communities.
