Resident Evil Requiem has surpassed 7 million copies sold, cementing its status as the fastest-selling Capcom title in the series.

Capcom announced the milestone after a one-million-increase from mid-April, with the total reaching seven million as of late April.

The seven-million achievement was celebrated by director Koshi Nakanishi and staff, including two themed cakes and a guest appearance by Geoff Keighley.

Celebration imagery showed cakes modeled after Leon S. Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft, decorated with symbols like Leon’s pistol and hat and a zombie hand motif for Grace.

Initial sales were strong, with six million units sold by March and seven million by April 24, reflecting sustained demand since launch.

The Mercenaries mode is expected to include escalating zombie hordes and point-based scoring, drawing on the series’ earlier entries and the remake of Resident Evil 4.

At launch, the game sold 5 million copies within its first five days, setting an enduring franchise record for speed of sale.

Physical editions sold out early, underscoring the game’s robust early momentum.

Capcom plans additional content, including a May mini-game likely tied to Mercenaries, plus an ongoing story DLC that may arrive in 2027 and potentially feature characters like Leon, Ada, or Alyssa Ashcroft.
