A solid legal and strategic backbone underpins the effort, featuring the Kenya National AI Strategy 2025–2030, the AI Ethics and Governance Framework (2025), the Artificial Intelligence Bill (2026), and the Data Protection Act (2019) with data governance and ethics at the core.
