TCS unveiled India’s first lights-out factory lab to simulate and validate AI-driven autonomous production systems before they run on real shop floors.

The lab demonstrates use cases such as predictive maintenance, automated quality inspection, real-time process optimization, and human–machine collaboration for autonomous factory operations.

It features a fully robotic battery pack assembly line and showcases autonomous manufacturing with minimal human intervention through AI, digital twins, robotics, and advanced factory systems.

Market context shows TCS shares trading about 2.4% lower on the NSE around midday on the launch day.

TCS reported continued revenue growth and solid margins, with Q1FY27 revenue of Rs 73,843 crore and operating profit margin of 24.75%, supported by a strong balance sheet and robust free cash flow of Rs 47,948 crore in FY26.
