Open Cosmos has secured €300 million in funding to expand its mass-manufacturing capabilities and accelerate its real-time intelligence and connectivity platforms.
Lead investors Lightrock and ETF Partners, with participation from Institut Català de Finances, Entrepreneurs First, and two international pension funds, back the round.
The company pursues four technology pillars: OpenOrbit for design/build/operation of satellites; OpenConstellation for shared satellite infrastructure; ConnectedCosmos for broadband and IoT communications; and DataCosmos for processing imagery and sensor data for near-real-time decision-making.
