The UAE Ministry of Justice has launched Agentic AI to drastically cut pre-trial case review times, shrinking processing from about 18 working days to roughly two hours to accelerate court procedures.

The system acts as a decision-support tool, with judges retaining full authority to evaluate, modify, or dismiss automated outputs, ensuring ongoing human oversight and judicial independence.

Two operational modules were showcased: Estate and Succession Analysis (Probate Intelligence) for complex distributions and hearings coordination, and Automated Document Certification for validating citations and applying digital certifications.

A Smart Justice Dashboard delivers real-time analytics on case clearance rates, filing volumes, and overall court throughput for federal courts.

The platform targets administrative bottlenecks while preserving substantive judicial administration and due process.

The underlying large language model was trained on over 22,000 legal documents and tested on 10,000 historical case files, in compliance with the UAE’s Personal Data Protection law.

Plans are in place to roll out the platform across federal courts after completing trials and stakeholder integration later this year.

Six specialized autonomous AI agents analyze dockets, cross-reference submissions, and synthesize evidence into structured briefs for the presiding judges.

This initiative forms part of the UAE’s Future Court vision to blend ethical AI with human-centered justice, aiming to make justice faster, more accessible, and transparent.
