Studio Massket is producing the anime, with Tot serving as creator, scriptwriter, and story outline lead.

Crunchyroll describes the story as following Welsh, a culinary-loving teen, and Shedar, a prince destined to be king, who must work together to stop a cruel despot and secure a peaceful future.

Episode 1 debuts with the title MUSHROOM PIE and airs on November 5, 2026, followed by a weekly release schedule through Episode 12, WELSH & SHEDAR, on January 14, 2027.

Additional context includes references to the Final Weapon site and a writer profile for Saras Rajpal, covering his background and work since 2023.

The project includes interactive cross-media elements where hidden codes in episodes unlock in-game quests and rewards across DOFUS, DOFUS Retro, and DOFUS Touch, with Episode 1 offering Minikitt as an initial reward.

The series integrates the Krosmoz universe with Japanese animation talent from Studio Massket, under Ankama's oversight, and continues to reveal in-game rewards as the story progresses.

Welsh & Shedar is an Ankama–Studio Massket collaboration set in the DOFUS universe.

An international trailer and key visual are part of the rollout, though details were not elaborated in the initial materials.

The anime previously premiered on October 2 on Tokyo MX at 9:25 p.m. JST (8:25 a.m. EDT), establishing the series' early broadcast footprint.
