The successful trial filling of the largest lake in the Downtown Lagoon project marks a significant milestone in its development, demonstrating progress in Egypt’s water feature initiatives.

P.ZONE, an aqua tech solutions provider, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CSCEC International Construction Egypt to implement water features in landmark projects across Egypt, supporting national infrastructure and sustainable economic growth.

P.ZONE has begun work on the Downtown Lagoon project in New Alamein City, providing comprehensive services including design, civil, electromechanical works, project management, and long-term maintenance, building on previous collaborations with CSCEC.

The trial filling of the main lake in the Downtown Lagoon project, which includes eleven lakes and aims to test waterproofing systems, has been inaugurated by Minister of Housing Sherif ElSherbiny.

The main lake in the Downtown Lagoon spans 15 feddans, featuring seven islands, a tourist promenade, and paths for bicycles and electric vehicles, serving as a key recreational and tourism asset.

Egyptian officials, including Amr Khattab from the Ministry of Housing, emphasized the project's role in developing smart cities, boosting tourism, and enhancing urban infrastructure along Egypt's North Coast.

This initiative aligns with Egypt's broader vision of developing smart cities within an integrated urban masterplan covering approximately 49,000 feddans.

Hesham El Batrawi, CEO of P.ZONE, highlighted the project’s potential to foster resource sustainability, create jobs, attract investments, and deliver innovative solutions.

P.ZONE’s project portfolio has exceeded EGP 1.5 billion for the 2024-2025 fiscal year, reflecting a strong commitment to environmental responsibility and long-term value creation.

CSCEC International North Africa’s General Manager, Chenwei, described the MoU as a strategic step to enhance competitiveness in artificial lake systems and waterscape engineering, praising P.ZONE’s performance.
