Uganda and Algeria Forge Stronger Ties Through Trade, Healthcare, and Education Collaboration

Uganda and Algeria are actively strengthening their diplomatic and economic ties through new projects, trade expansion, and scholarship opportunities, aiming to boost shared prosperity.
Ugandan exports to Algeria include over 400 tonnes of powdered milk and products from four coffee trading companies, with plans to broaden market access for additional goods.
A Memorandum of Understanding has been finalized between the two countries' finance ministers to support the expansion of Katakwi Hospital, which is scheduled to begin in four months.
Both nations' officials reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation for the benefit of their populations.
Leaders from Uganda and Algeria emphasized the importance of ongoing engagement to strengthen political, economic, and cultural ties, aligning with broader African Union initiatives like the AfCFTA to promote intra-African trade.
