Africa Tech Festival 2025, the continent's premier technology event, is set to take place from November 11 to 13 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, highlighting Africa's digital transformation.
The festival will feature four flagship programs—AfricaCom, AfricaTech, AfricaIgnite, and The AI Summit Cape Town—focusing on responsible innovation, inclusion, connectivity, and policy harmonization.
This event aims to foster public-private collaboration, develop digital strategies, and drive economic growth through discussions on infrastructure, policy, and emerging technologies.
Notable speakers include Mlindi Mashologu from South Africa’s Department of Communications, Obed Frimpong of First National Bank Ghana, and Google’s Charles Murito, who will share insights on AI governance, cloud computing, and workforce development.
These speakers will contribute diverse perspectives on Africa’s digital evolution, emphasizing AI governance, digital innovation, and workforce skills.
South Africa’s Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, Hon. Solly Malatsi, will deliver the opening address, focusing on inclusive connectivity, digital literacy, and supportive policies for the digital economy.
Additional notable speakers include Tendai “The Beast” Mtawarira, a former rugby star and social entrepreneur, and Adil El Youssefi, CEO of Africa Data Centres, who will discuss digital empowerment and AI infrastructure.
