Goa has launched the Goa AI Mission 2027, aiming to transform the state into an AI-led hub focused on inclusive, responsible, and sustainable governance, with initiatives to integrate AI into public systems and foster innovation.

This initiative seeks to position Goa as a leader in AI-driven governance in India by promoting digital inclusivity and ethical AI practices, making the state a model for responsible technological advancement.

A significant step includes signing an MoU between Goa's Department of Information Technology and the Digital India Bhashini Division to implement multilingual AI solutions, enhancing accessibility and inclusivity in public services.

The event inaugurating Goa's AI initiatives was led by Minister Rohan A. Khaunte, who emphasized capacity building, responsible AI, and social impact, with a vision to make Goa a model of innovation and resilience.

Khaunte highlighted that Goa’s AI strategy focuses on building skills, empowering startups, supporting capital, and strengthening infrastructure, all centered around human-centric AI.

A dedicated event titled 'AI for Governance and Social Impact' brought together government officials, academia, and industry leaders to discuss AI's role in fostering social impact and responsible governance.

This comprehensive approach aims to make Goa a pioneer in ethical AI governance, promoting inclusive growth and technological innovation across its citizenry.
