Lenskart to Launch AI-Powered Smart Glasses, Rivals Meta and Amazon with Indian Price Point
November 3, 2025
Lenskart is poised to become one of India's first consumer tech brands to commercialize AI-driven eyewear, competing with Meta-Ray‑Ban and Amazon Echo Frames, potentially at an Indian price point.
The company plans to launch its first AI-enabled smart glasses, internally called “B by Lenskart Smartglasses,” by the end of December.
The device is reportedly built on Google’s Gemini 2.5 AI model to power its interactive interface, with pricing still to be finalised.
This initiative follows a strategic partnership announced in July 2025 with Qualcomm to co-develop AR and AI solutions for Indian consumers.
Lenskart has launched a Rs 7,278 crore public offer ( valuing the company near Rs 70,000 crore, about USD 8 billion), which was fully subscribed on its first day and is set to close on November 4, 2025.
The product launch could occur within weeks of Lenskart’s planned IPO listing on November 10, 2025, as pricing remains undecided.
Pricing for the B by Lenskart Smartglasses has not been finalised, with insiders indicating ongoing consideration.
The glasses are expected to feature AI-driven contextual interactions, health and well-being insights, and onboard UPI payment capabilities, likely powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 platform and Gemini 2.5 technology.
Over the past year, Lenskart has invested in AI, XR, and computer vision startups to build in-house capabilities, aiming to transform from a D2C optics retailer into a broader vision-tech ecosystem brand.
