A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the UAE and the United States to boost collaboration in energy and AI, aiming to drive industrial transformation, economic growth, and more resilient supply chains.

The UAE President met with Doug Burgum in Abu Dhabi during ADIPEC 2025, underscoring the bilateral partnership amid the energy conference.

Secretary Burgum stated that the US, under leadership at the time, is using AI to modernize infrastructure and scale energy production, highlighting the bilateral ties as central to economic and national security interests.

The meeting was attended by senior UAE officials and diplomats, including prominent figures like Yousef Al Otaiba, and occurred in the shadow of ADIPEC 2025 (November 3–6).

A high-level UAE delegation attended, underscoring the significance of bilateral ties within the ADIPEC context.

The MoU reflects mutual commitments to technological progress and leveraging advanced tech to secure long-term economic interests, aligning leadership visions with global partnerships in energy and tech.

Broader AI and tech collaboration under the MoU includes robotics, materials engineering, automation, knowledge sharing, skills development, and capacity building through targeted training programs.

The agreement aims to advance high-tech manufacturing, smarter logistics, energy efficiency, smart grids, predictive maintenance, and energy storage as part of industrial modernization.

Among the attendees was Yousef Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the United States, representing senior diplomatic engagement.

The MoU envisions joint work to boost advanced industrial capabilities and adopt future-ready smart manufacturing technologies.
