Kathmandu University kicks off AI Conclave 2026, a three-day event starting January 12 at KU in Dhulikhel, organized by KU's Artificial Intelligence Club to unite students, researchers, industry leaders and policymakers around artificial intelligence.

The conclave, part of AI Convergence 2026, aims to broaden AI discussion beyond academia to include practical applications in education, healthcare, finance, governance, industry and society under the theme Bridging Intelligence and Innovation.

The event is designed to converge AI learning and innovation on a single platform, raising awareness of practical AI applications across multiple sectors.

This is the second phase of KU’s AI Convergence-2026, following AI Canvas, with a National-Level AI Summit scheduled for the first day and a lineup of project exhibitions, robotics competitions, e-games, tech talks and an expo on the subsequent days.

The second phase runs January 12–14 on KU’s central campus, featuring AI policy discussions, ‘AI for Society’ dialogues, an e-games finale and public awareness programs.

Organizers expect up to 5,000 attendees, signaling one of Nepal’s largest AI-focused gatherings to date.

The event aims to attract a broad audience, including students, researchers, startups, policymakers and industry players.

Final-day highlights include panel discussions on AI for Society, the e-games finale, and policy discussions.
