Keysight Unveils SBOM Manager to Enhance Cybersecurity Compliance and Streamline Software Management
March 18, 2026
Keysight Technologies launches SBOM Manager, a software solution designed to generate and manage Software Bill of Materials to meet cybersecurity regulatory requirements.
The SBOM Manager offers a unified platform to analyze binary software, firmware, containers, and components (including closed-source and embedded dependencies), continuously correlating SBOMs with multiple vulnerability sources and supporting Vulnerability Exploitability eXchange to reduce irrelevant vulnerability noise.
Ram Periakaruppan of Keysight stresses SBOMs as a global prerequisite for doing business and highlights addressing practical regulatory expansion to avoid penalties, delays, recalls, or market access issues.
Keysight announced a collaboration with Salience Labs to build an optical circuit switch testing environment, to be demonstrated at the OFC Conference, alongside news of John Page’s planned retirement as Senior VP of Global Services by fiscal year 2026 for personal reasons.
Regulatory penalties for non-compliance can include fines, delayed approvals, recalls, or restricted market access, underscoring the practical importance of SBOM management.
Keysight is a diversified technology company serving multiple industries and markets, including communications, industrial automation, aerospace and defense, automotive, semiconductor, and general electronics.
In related updates, Keysight highlighted other AI, data center, and optical testing initiatives, such as the KAI Inference Builder for validating AI inference infrastructure, 224G interconnect test solutions, and the N4378A Lightwave Component Analyzer.
The SBOM solution aims to help organizations meet regulatory obligations and customer transparency requirements while improving visibility across the product lifecycle and supply chain.
The tool aligns with global regulatory trends, supporting compliance with the EU Cyber Resilience Act, U.S. Executive Order 14028, and FDA cybersecurity requirements for medical devices, with broader SBOM regulatory activity noted in other regions.
SBOM Manager provides secure, role-based sharing and version control for SBOMs and vulnerability data, with validation and normalization to align with evolving standards, and the ability to map SBOMs to deployed assets for real-world visibility.
Additional notes include ongoing collaboration with Salience Labs to demonstrate testing environments and the expansion of AI-related testing tools, reinforcing Keysight’s broader push into AI and data-center technologies.
