India Boosts Quantum Research and AI with New Labs at MNIT Jaipur, Expands Border Broadcast Reach

In a major push for deep-tech, a new Advanced Quantum Computing and Quantum Communications Lab and an Artificial Intelligence Lab will be established at MNIT Jaipur, aimed at advancing India’s semiconductor ecosystem and national security through QKD research.
As part of the Chips to Startup Programme, Electronic Design Automation tools from Synopsys, Cadence, and Renesas are being provided to more than 323 universities, enabling student-designed chip fabrication at SCL Mohali.
MNIT Jaipur students will gain access to Lam Research’s Semiverse platform, a digital twin-based semiconductor fabrication ecosystem for exploring 3D chip structures and virtual fabrication simulations.
