A Dubai-based workshop led by the UAE government on Agentic AI gathered more than 300 participants from 50 federal entities to drive a government-wide program aimed at converting half of sectors, services, and operations to Agentic AI within two years.

The Ministry of Cabinet Affairs outlined a target of 75 percent conversion of its operations and services to Agentic AI, focusing on speeding task completion, improving information reliability, and enabling evidence-based decisions.

Senior officials debated moving from experimentation to full institutional adoption and reviewed AI tools to support Cabinet operations, strategic planning, legislation, and policy development.

Implementation is structured in three 90-day phases—exploration, design, and implementation planning—with ongoing government-team monitoring to ensure targets are met.

The rollout will follow four stages: readiness assessment, capability building, pilot deployment, and full-scale rollout of specialized AI agents.

Leaders emphasized changing mindsets and empowering staff to become system drivers, leveraging sovereign AI infrastructure and secure environments.

The plan calls for redesigned processes, faster service delivery, reliable information, stronger governance, and targeted employee training to use AI tools while preserving security and standards.

A later phase plan, led by Mohamed Rashid bin Taliah, focuses on selecting priority services for AI, aiming for maximum impact with criteria such as operation volume, beneficiary numbers, data readiness, automation, and potential improvements in service quality and cost efficiency.

Ten priority areas for transformation were identified, spanning human resources, procurement, finance and administration, legislative affairs, internal audit, digital transformation, institutional communications, facilities management, and shared processes, with over 140 officials involved.

Key figures announced targets and initiatives, including a 75 percent aim, upskilling 80,000 federal employees, and the Presidential Court’s AI infrastructure and governance efforts.

The Dubai-organized workshop sought to launch implementation tracks, map services and operations, and monitor progress over 90 days across federal entities.

Participants included top officials who stressed equipping government talent with AI deployment skills and removing barriers to transformation.
