The India Code Portal has been officially relaunched with a modern, AI-powered upgrade that transforms it from a document repository into an interactive, citizen-first digital gateway for Indian law.

The revamped portal features AI-assisted search, speech-based tools, and plans for multilingual access to improve how laws are found and understood on a single digital platform.

Enhanced system integration includes direct synchronization with the e-Gazette ecosystem, QR-code enabled document sharing, streamlined viewing menus, and a dedicated citizen feedback channel.

The upgrade aims to empower citizens with easier understanding of the Constitution and statutory frameworks, promoting transparency and public accessibility.

It will improve access to amendments and legislative histories, linking Acts with relevant rules and subordinate legislation, and integrating into the e-Gazette ecosystem for official material.

The portal now offers interconnected legislative history with clear document linkages, enabling users to track amendments and navigate relationships between primary Acts and subordinate regulations.

At the launch, officials stressed authenticity, up-to-date information, and user-centric design as core goals, led by Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Attorney General R. Venkataramani, and Secretary Rajiv Mani.
