Numa Acquires SocketTime: Revolutionizing Dealership Operations with Unified AI-Powered System
August 26, 2026
Numa is acquiring SocketTime, a software provider focused on dealership service shop operations, to extend from customer communications into core fixed-operations workflows like real-time service scheduling, dispatch, inspections, approvals, and multi-store service management.
The combined platform will integrate Numa’s AI agents with SocketTime’s scheduling, capacity planning, inspections, repair approvals, parts coordination, recon, and technician activity to deliver a single operating system for service operations.
Planned AI capabilities include scheduling that accounts for real shop capacity and technician skills, presenting OEM-recommended maintenance as clear options, capturing intake and pre-diagnostic context from customer concerns, converting videos and inspections into approval-ready updates, and proactive heat-case detection to prevent CSI issues.
The system will automatically generate status updates and delay notices, identify at-risk customer situations that could affect CSI scores, and provide coaching for advisor and technician communications while surfacing service, recon, and trade opportunities within one platform.
Real-world use cases include a Lexus parts department using text messaging to streamline quoting, image sharing, and confirmations, plus proactive repair-status updates tied to repair-order data and a shared inbox to improve handoffs and reduce call volume.
Sales analytics highlighted include 2.6 million leads across more than 1,150 dealerships, with response speed identified as a key predictor of lead qualification and store performance.
Leaders emphasize building an operating system for the service lane that embeds AI into real workflows rather than as a separate app, prioritizing operational intelligence.
Numa has processed over a billion communications across 1,300+ dealerships and holds about 90% of DMS market integrations, with significant funding from Google, Threshold Ventures, Mitsui, Costanoa Ventures, and Touring Capital.
The company has repeatedly been recognized, including a No. 443 ranking on the 2026 Inc. 5000 list for four consecutive years, underscoring rapid growth.
Part of the plan is to automatically convert technician videos and inspection results into approval-ready communications and present factory-recommended maintenance in structured menus for advisors.
The merger aims to move dealerships from fragmented tools to a unified system that understands the live state of the service department and can execute real-time dispatch and approval workflows.
The combined platform will link service, recon, and trade opportunities within a single system, providing context-aware decisions and notifications while coaching interactions.
