Adobe Partners with Saudi Arabia for $4B AI Initiative, Offering Free Creative Tools to Millions
September 1, 2026
A multi-year Adobe initiative with Saudi Arabia's MCIT and HUMAIN is valued at over $4 billion and aims to broaden access to generative AI and creative tools across the Kingdom.
This deal extends the 2025 Adobe-HUMAIN partnership and positions Saudi Arabia as a flagship market for mass adoption of culturally localized creative AI, with leadership statements from Adobe CEO and HUMAIN’s chief executive.
At its core, more than 27 million eligible Saudi citizens and residents aged 13 and up will receive free access to Adobe Firefly Standard and Adobe Express Premium features for 12 months, available by the end of 2026.
Beginning in early 2027, free access will also extend to eligible startups and early-stage entrepreneurs in MCIT programs, accompanied by training and Adobe expertise to help them integrate AI and digital creative tools.
Adobe Express will add Modern Standard Arabic right-to-left support and culturally relevant templates, expanding Arabic-language capabilities for broader adoption in the Arabic-speaking market.
The partnership includes joint AI education initiatives through Adobe Digital Academy and AI education efforts like AI Essentials for Marketers, combining software access with skills development.
Overall, the agreement advances Saudi Arabia’s goal of a technology-driven creative economy by removing access barriers, encouraging entrepreneurship, and building localized AI capabilities.
A Saudi-focused generative AI image model will be developed using Firefly Foundry, tailored to Saudi culture and local creative needs, with HUMAIN contributing regional and cultural insight.
