Smartphones are positioned as the central AI hub while wearables act as the user’s eyes and ears, enabling context-aware AI actions and signaling a shift to a broader, on-device personal AI ecosystem beyond mobile devices.

The company launched the Snapdragon Start program to help eyewear makers enter AI glasses, with near-term Inspecs-powered industrial smart safety glasses demonstrated on Snapdragon AR1+; Google is collaborating with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker to bring Snapdragon AR1-based intelligent glasses to market by year’s end.
