The Kakao consortium has been selected for the government-led Everyone's AI initiative and will deliver AI services through KakaoTalk and telephone access to reach broad public use.

The platform will provide a fully integrated workflow from information retrieval to authentication, document issuance, and payment, using scholarship applications as an example to illustrate the end-to-end service flow.

A beta chatbot is planned by mid-October 2026, aiming for 5 million monthly active users at launch and scaling to 10 million by the end of 2027 and 30 million by 2030.

External participation will be expanded through the Model Context Protocol ecosystem and the AI Agent Marketplace Development Support Project, allowing a variety of external agents to join Everyone’s AI.

Leading participants include Kakao, LG Uplus, and other LG affiliates, leveraging domestic AI models such as Kanana and EXAONE with plans to optimize speed and cost efficiency.

The AI platform will integrate KakaoTalk, AI models, and infrastructure from Kakao and LG to serve public, healthcare, and financial sectors, with a strong focus on accessibility for digitally vulnerable users via voice interactions.
