However, production is expected to be limited to just 100,000 units per year, which could indicate a high price point for consumers.

The design of the headset was unveiled in December 2024, coinciding with Google's announcement of Android XR, with a product release anticipated in 2025.

Despite expectations for more details at the I/O event in May, the focus shifted primarily to smart glasses and the introduction of Xreal's Project Aura, another Android XR headset.
