Maradin Unveils Breakthrough XR Laser Display Platform for Next-Gen Augmented Reality Glasses
July 15, 2025
On July 15, 2025, Maradin Ltd. announced the launch of its innovative XR laser-based scanning (LBS) display platform, designed specifically for augmented and mixed reality applications.
This new platform benefits from Maradin's patented laser modulation scheme, which, combined with MEMS mirrors and controllers, results in a compact and efficient design.
Remarkably, the LBS display is less than 1.4 cubic centimeters in size, making it highly suitable for integration into various architectures like waveguide-based and direct retinal displays.
The technology was showcased at the Augmented World Expo (AWE) in June 2025, highlighting its impressive 50-degree field of view and 720p resolution.
It offers advanced features such as foveated displays and customizable fields of view, which are ideal for lightweight smart glasses that require low power consumption.
Designed to simplify smart glasses development, the platform can accommodate different head shapes and sizes without sacrificing performance.
Matan Naftali, CEO of Maradin Ltd., stated that the platform enhances brand value for OEMs by delivering high-quality content with improved color accuracy and resolution.
