Bigscreen has announced the release of a special 'VRChat Edition' of its Beyond 2e headset, set to ship in September 2025, designed specifically for the popular social VR platform.

The lightweight headset, weighing just 107 grams, offers portability for VRChat users, though it may not feature the highest-end technology compared to tethered models.

Released on July 16, 2025, the Bigscreen Beyond 2e features an exclusive 'Atomic Purple' shell, appealing to nostalgia with a design reminiscent of the 1998 Game Boy Color.

Current pre-order holders can upgrade to the VRChat Edition by contacting Bigscreen's support team, with pre-orders available at $1,269, including a $50 premium for the special edition.

The VRChat Edition includes a compact eye-tracking sensor, about the size of a grain of sand, enhancing avatar expression and social interaction within VRChat.

This limited edition features translucent packaging artwork and a hand-drawn design, with pre-orders open until supplies last, and shipping expected in September 2025.

The VRChat Edition shares the same high-end specifications as the standard Beyond 2e, including 2,560 × 2,560 micro-OLED displays and a 116° field of view.
