Avantis Education has introduced two new VR headsets, Xcelerate and Xplorer, as part of their ClassVR hardware suite, aimed at transforming immersive learning experiences in classrooms worldwide.
These headsets are designed to support students from primary through higher education, offering advanced VR and AR capabilities.
According to chief marketing officer Gillian Rhodes, the devices prioritize ergonomics, ease of use, and confidence for teachers to deploy them effectively in classroom settings.
The Xcelerate headset is tailored for high school and further education students, featuring six-degrees-of-freedom tracking and a flip visor for smooth switching between virtual and real environments.
Meanwhile, the Xplorer headset is aimed at younger learners, equipped with a 4K Ultra-HD display and enhanced audio to make lessons more engaging.
