Imaginakery Launches UK's First AR Trading Card Game with 'Jungle Squad' Series
October 15, 2025
The animated series, produced by Cosmos Maya—known for Paw Patrol and Cocomelon—features cinematic action, a sustainability theme, and a hero versus villain storyline, complementing the AR game.
The initiative aims to promote creativity, develop children's imagination, and encourage family bonding through interactive and innovative play experiences.
Simester hopes Jungle Squad will become a global phenomenon, inspiring children to explore characters and stories through this revolutionary animated series and innovative trading cards.
The project was officially launched with a premiere at the Rex Cinema in Wilmslow on October 11th, featuring exclusive screenings, AR experiences, and appearances from popular YouTube influencer Luke Solve Collectibles.
The launch event included special screenings, AR activities, and a meet-and-greet with Luke Solve Collectibles, who has over 10 million views on his trading card content.
Imaginakery collaborated with Manchester-based AR and VR experience company Corporation Pop to develop the interactive elements of the game, blending storytelling with gameplay.
Imaginakery, founded by ex-Soreen boss and Warburtons Marketing Director Mark Simester, has launched the UK's first augmented reality (AR) trading card game paired with a 20-part animated YouTube series called Jungle Squad, aiming to revitalize imaginative play among children.
The company was created to develop innovative children's entertainment products, with Simester leading the charge to create engaging and accessible experiences.
Jungle Squad's AR cards allow characters to leap off the table, blending physical gameplay with cutting-edge technology to make the experience more engaging and accessible for children.
Each collectible card showcases a character with a detailed backstory and skills, integrating into an AR world to foster creativity and interactive play.
Simester emphasizes that Jungle Squad is designed to be an affordable, easy-to-use, and imaginative alternative to traditional trading cards, aiming to spark creativity and bring families together.
The overall goal is to revive children's imagination, support development, and foster family gameplay, addressing the decline of traditional trading cards and modern entertainment options.
