Since October's early access launch, a quality-of-life update added a Field Guide to track challenges, with bottle caps earned usable for future goods and tools, more observed birds, a new scoring system, and real-time progress feedback.

The full release will introduce online co-op multiplayer and photo sharing across forests, plus the Scout’s Shop offering premium cosmetic items like vintage camera skins and viewfinder charms.

Birdseed VR is currently in Early Access on Quest 3 and Quest 3S, with a full release planned for March 2026 on Quest and Steam.

The March 2026 full release will follow the Quest solo early access phase, bringing it to Quest and Steam audiences.
