Emma Moore emphasized that the decision to hold the grand final at night is intended to expose more people to the game and create an unforgettable atmosphere.

Next season, the AFLW will revert to a standard format of one game per week for each team, expanding to a total of 12 games over 12 weeks.

Moore and Kane acknowledged feedback on the previous condensed fixture, announcing that changes would be implemented for the 2025 season due to raised injury concerns.

The AFL previously experimented with night grand finals for the men's competition during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021.

Kane also ruled out using Marvel Stadium for the grand final if ticket demand is high, indicating a preference for smaller venues.

Possible venues for the grand final include Ikon Park in North Melbourne, Springfield in Brisbane, and Norwood Oval in Adelaide.
