Manhunt for Brothers Wanted in Caboolture Murder; Public Urged Not to Approach
January 3, 2025
Queensland Police have identified the brothers as suspects in Mason's murder, which occurred during an altercation at a Railway Parade address.
Following the incident, police recovered a rifle at the scene, which is currently undergoing forensic testing to determine if it was the weapon used in the shooting.
Detective Inspector David Harbison revealed that the brothers were initially interviewed as witnesses but recent evidence suggests their involvement in the homicide.
Codye Thomson, 29, and Kaine Thomson-Gleeson, 32, are wanted for the alleged murder of 23-year-old Chloe Jade Mason, who was shot on December 22, 2024, in Caboolture, north of Brisbane.
Police have released images of the white Holden Commodore to assist in locating the suspects.
Detective Inspector Harbison has emphasized that even small pieces of information from the public can significantly aid the investigation.
Anyone who sees the suspects is advised to contact emergency services rather than approach them.
Authorities consider the brothers dangerous and have urged the public not to approach them but to report any sightings immediately.
Warrants for their arrest were issued on January 3, 2025, after both brothers were previously released without charge due to insufficient evidence.
The suspects are believed to be camping in northern New South Wales and were last seen in a white Holden Commodore station wagon with Queensland registration 953 HO4 on December 30, 2024.
As the investigation continues, police are actively seeking any information regarding the brothers' whereabouts.
Images of the suspects were released last week to further assist in the ongoing investigation.
