Ex-Police Officer Charged with Double Murder of Flight Attendant and TV Presenter in Sydney
January 28, 2025
Beau Lamarre-Condon, a former police officer, is facing serious charges, including two counts of murder for the alleged killings of Qantas flight attendant Luke Davies and Channel 10 presenter Jesse Baird.
The alleged murders took place at Baird's sharehouse in Paddington, Sydney, where Lamarre-Condon reportedly shot the couple with his police-issued Glock.
Police allege that Lamarre-Condon planned the murder of Baird, while Davies was killed accidentally during the incident.
Following the allegations, Lamarre-Condon was dismissed from the NSW Police Force in mid-March 2025.
He has been in custody for nearly a year, having turned himself in four days after the discovery of the victims' bodies.
The bodies of Baird and Davies were discovered on February 27, 2025, hidden in surfboard bags in Bungonia, approximately 200 km southwest of Sydney.
The investigation was initiated after the victims' possessions were found in a skip bin in Cronulla, which led police to Baird's sharehouse.
His defense team, led by lawyer Alex Curnick, is awaiting a large volume of evidence from prosecutors, which they have requested to be delivered by February 11, 2025.
Police claim Lamarre-Condon exhibited 'predatory' behavior towards Baird prior to the murders, having had a brief relationship with him.
Curnick has received some of the phone records and is working to resolve issues regarding the remaining data, including Cellebrite reports that extract data from phones.
Psychiatric testing for Lamarre-Condon is scheduled for early March 2025, conducted by forensic psychiatrist Andrew Ellis.
The next court appearance for the case is scheduled for March 20, 2025.
