Woman in Critical Condition After Carjacker Strikes with Stolen Vehicle Outside Casey Hospital

The incident occurred around 10:45 AM on April 22, 2025, outside Casey Hospital in Berwick, Melbourne, as a 66-year-old woman was dropping her husband off at the emergency department.
A man, who had just exited the hospital, jumped into the couple's car, prompting the woman to attempt to stop him.
As she tried to prevent the theft, the carjacker struck her with the vehicle before fleeing the scene.
The woman was subsequently run over by her own car and is now in critical condition after being transferred to The Alfred hospital for critical care.
Victoria Police are actively searching for the vehicle and the suspect, and they are urging witnesses or anyone with video footage of the incident to come forward.
