ARN announces Dr Chris Brown, Amy Gerard, and Jack Charles will host KIIS Breakfast in Sydney, replacing Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O, with the trio set to launch the new show on Monday, November 9, broadcasting weekdays 6-9am.

The Sydney lineup features Brown, Gerard, and Charles, while Melbourne’s lineup will be announced later as part of a broader rollout for KIIS across cities.

ARN aims to set salaries that attract a broad audience and premium advertisers, with compensation reviewed based on ratings and commercial performance.

ARN’s CEO signals a measured approach to revamping the lineup, emphasizing talent development and careful decision-making for future programming.

Brand strategy includes using social clips as part of a broader effort to reframe KIIS for brands and listeners, rather than relying on a single piece of content.

Context includes the era of Kyle and Jackie O’s peak, the legal and financial fallout from their departure, and ARN’s shift toward a brand-safe, less controversial format to stabilize the network.

The team stresses a bold, fun, Sydney-focused format designed for engagement across radio, video, social, and live experiences.

Discussion around the new clip and lineup underscores debates about advertiser reactions and brand safety versus a provocative image.

Industry insiders see potential for Brown’s broader brand, with partnerships across brands, radio, and television as the trio broadens exposure.

Media coverage and on-air reactions reflect ongoing tensions between ARN and Sandilands, with coverage from outlets like News.com.au.

Natalie Penfold joins as newsreader to support the new show, contributing experience and helping manage discussions with an upbeat dynamic.

ARN executives describe the move as a major milestone, highlighting integrated content across radio, video, social, and live experiences to refresh KIIS Sydney.
