Crown Princess Elisabeth of Belgium, aged 22, is the eldest child of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, and is next in line for the throne.

Born on October 25, 2001, in Anderlecht, she has held the title of Duchess of Brabant since July 2013.

Elisabeth completed her International Baccalaureate in 2020 at UWC Atlantic College in Wales, followed by a degree in History and Politics at Lincoln College, University of Oxford, from 2021 to 2024.

The Belgian Royal Palace expressed pride in her academic achievements at Oxford, where her graduation ceremony was attended by various members of the royal family.

After graduating from Oxford in May 2024, Crown Princess Elisabeth moved to the United States to pursue a master's degree in public policy at Harvard University, starting in September 2024.

Her acceptance to Harvard was marked by passing entrance exams and receiving an 'Honorary Award' from the Fulbright Program, recognizing her academic merit.

Since her arrival at Harvard, she has been spotted on campus, embracing her new academic chapter.

Elisabeth is known for her commitment to social work, having volunteered with organizations supporting the elderly, the homeless, and individuals with disabilities, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fluent in Dutch, French, German, and English, she enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, rowing, and sailing.

In addition to her academic pursuits, she completed a one-year course in Social and Military Sciences at the Royal Military Academy in Belgium in 2021.

Elisabeth began undertaking royal duties at a young age, notably inaugurating the Princess Elisabeth Children’s Hospital in Ghent at just 9 years old in 2011.

As first in line to the Belgian throne, she is poised to become Belgium's first Queen regnant.
