The Royal Meteorological Institute has issued a yellow alert for strong winds across several Belgian provinces, including Flanders, Brussels, Hainaut, and Brabant Wallon, valid for the coming hours.

This weather warning specifically covers the provinces of Flandre-Occidentale, Flandre-Orientale, and Anvers, due to expected gusts reaching up to 85 or 90 km/h along the coast and 70 to 80 km/h in northern regions.

Wind speeds are forecasted to be strongest along the coast, with gusts around 75-80 km/h, and slightly lower inland, with gusts between 50-60 km/h.

Winds will predominantly come from the west to south-west, remaining strong to very strong at the coast and moderately strong inland, although gusts may still exceed 70 km/h during Monday evening and night.

In response to the storm, the Belgian Interior Ministry has activated emergency number 1722 to assist with potential storm or flood-related incidents.

Temperatures across Belgium are expected to range from 9°C to 12°C in the Ardennes and 12°C to 15°C elsewhere, providing some context to the weather conditions.
